While they offer an amazing service, there are times where things do not work as they should or you're just stuck when trying or using a particular feature,

But there is one important thing for you to note, which is, at the time of writing this article, Cash App doesn't offer human-human customer service over the telephone, 

You're left with receiving automated instruction over the phone, essentially telling you to use the mobile app support or their site customer service platform.

You can contact Cash App support in four (4) different ways 

1. Via the Customer phone number 1-855-351-2274, when you call that number you will receive automated instruction, telling you to use their other support channels.

Don't be deceived by anyone whether online or offline to call any other than the official number 1-855-351-2274.

As it has been reported that people have been using such medium, pretending to representatives of Cash App to swindle money from unsuspecting users

Sometimes asking for their login details, or to download a screen recording app and other scenarios.

Therefore caution should be taken when troubleshooting issues with the platform, as no one from Cash App, will request your login details or any other account details for that matter over the phone.

How to contact Cash App Via the mobile app

You can contact them via the mobile itself on your device by following these steps

1. Start by launching the app on your device, once you're logged into your account, tap the profile icon on the app. 

This would be the image icon if added a profile photo to your account, 

Then tap Support to proceed

2. On this page, you'll find a list of common Cash App related issues. 

You can select from the option the point that best describes the issue you're having, or scroll down and tap Something Else 

If you didn't find any topic that best answers your question.

        3. You can select a topic related to the issue(s) you're experiencing. As in this case, I chose Account Settings, but any options should work just fine.

        4. On this page to proceed, scroll down and tap Contact Support

5. Select a way the support team can reach you to provide support, which is via email or phone number, but in this case, I chose via email, tap Yes to proceed

6. Describe your issue clearly on this page, the better you explain your issue(s) to them, the better the answer you'll receive from the support team.

Once you're done tap Continue to send your request.

Usually, you will be contacted by the support team within 24 hours, but if you didn't get any response from them, just send in another request again.


How to contact Cash App support team via their website cash.app/help

1. Fire up your browser and go to this address cash.app/help

On this page you are provided with a list of common issues experienced by users, you may choose a point/topic that best describes the issue(s) you're experiencing, or use the search bar to instantly narrow it down.

If none of the options provided helps, scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Contact Support

2. On the new page, enter your email address or phone number connected to your Cash App account and tap the Request Sign In Code button.

You'll be provided with a confirmation code, you're required to enter this code on the page to enable you to log into your account, to proceed tap Sign in

3. Once you're logged in, you're once again provided with common issues and how to fix them, see if any check the box, 

If none on the page provides a detailed answer for question/complaint, then select the option nearest/related to the issue you're experiencing.

 In this case, I chose Account Setting, (any point you choose from the options provided should work just fine)

On that page scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Contact Support to proceed. 

Select your preferred method of communication (phone or email), make sure that you correctly entered your details, to avoid unnecessary delays. In this case, I selected Email.

5. Describe your problem(s) in a detailed and clear manner, provide significant information on what you're experiencing to get a value-packed response from the support team.

To proceed tap Next to Summit Your Request.

Usually, you'll get a response from them with-in 24 hours, but if you didn't get any response after this period, simply redo the process again.


How to protect yourself from scams out there.

While the peer-peer payment systems are great, it simplifies and makes the process of transferring funds between individuals convenient, one has to proceed with caution not to get ripped-off by scammers out there.

Here are some measures to take to safeguard yourself and your account from such activities.

1. Transfer money to people that know and trust; while this may sound cliche, 

It's has been tested, tried, and proven to work, as this approach can protect you from scams and unnecessary quarrel.

Honestly, you don't what to get into a money argument (not fun)

2. Never disclose your login details; don't share your login details with people you don't know and when you know these people highly limit it to those that you Really! Really!! trust, better still do not disclose such information at all.

3. Add an extra layer of security; on the Cash App itself by adding additional security features such as PIN entry, touch ID, or Face ID verification to help somewhat safeguard your account from unauthorized access.

To kick things up a bit will require you to better secure your device, 

Which can be done by using a stronger password character combination or enable the biometric security feature of your device (if it has one)  in case you lost your device or it gets stolen.
